Where do orders ship from? Do I have to pay customs?

From Gran Canaria, Spain.

As of 07/01/2021, a new European regulation came into force establishing that all goods introduced into the Iberian Peninsula, the Balearic Islands, and the rest of the European Union from the Canary Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla are subject to import procedures and, therefore, to the payment of import VAT.

These procedures are managed directly by the logistics company and the competent customs authorities (Correos, UPS, DHL, etc.).

Gaïa Surfwear is not involved in this process and cannot know in advance whether these charges will apply to a specific shipment or what their amount will be, as it depends exclusively on the management carried out by the transport company and the applicable regulations.

In the event that there are customs management fees, taxes, or any other charge arising from the import, they will be the responsibility of the recipient.

How long does it take for my order to arrive?

It depends on the destination:

  • Canary Islands: 3–5 days
  • Peninsula: 7–10 days
  • Europe/International: up to 15–20 days

Can I exchange or return a garment?

Yes. We accept returns if the product hasn't been used and isn't discounted. You have 15 days from receipt.

How do I know what size to choose?

Check out our size guide on the Customer Service page. If you're unsure between sizes, choose the larger size. Our recycled fabric is firmer than conventional fabric.

How do I care for my Gaïa Surfwear garments?

Wash them by hand, without fabric softener, and dry them in the shade. Avoid rough surfaces like rocks or pool edges.
